NEW VIERPAARDJES UNDERPASS FOR FOUR TRACKS
VIBRATION PROTECTION FOR NOISE-SENSITIVE RESIDENTIAL AREAS
THE PROJECT AND ITS REQUIREMENT
Work has begun on the new Vierpaardjes railway underpass in Venlo. With the removal of the old level crossing, traffic will flow more smoothly, become more accessible and safer, delays, congestion and disruption will be avoided, and the quality of life for local residents will be improved. The construction period will last more than two years and is scheduled to run until the end of 2025. The Calenberg MFS USM 1000 W was used to protect the surrounding neighbourhood from railway vibrations in future. Concurrently, the gravel and concrete needed protection, for which Calenberg’s Ciprotec 6018 was
used.
This application is designed to protect future residential buildings from vibrations caused by trains passing through an underpass. Gravel and concrete should also be preserved.
