Oil-Ex adsorbs liquid hydrocarbons such as oils, fuels, low-viscosity lubricants, and organic solvents and selectively binds hydrocarbons from emulsions. The liquids are distributed over the surface of the mat thanks to the absorption layer’s shape and are subsequently bound into the material matrix.
Surface water is not bound and drains off. The absorbed liquids remain in the mat and cannot be squeezed or rinsed out. The Oil-Ex Absorption Mat provides effective and reliable protection against harmful lubricants and other substances.
Oil-Ex consists of elastomeric materials, an absorption layer of bound pelleted rubber and a high proportion of recycled material.

Description, application
OIL-EX consists of elastomeric materials, an absorption layer of bound pelleted rubber and a high proportion of recycled material. An impermeable barrier layer on the underside of the mat prevents contamination of the substrate.The 20 mm thick mat with a width of 1480 mm and a length of up to 50 m has an absorption capacity of approx. 10 l / m² and a weight of 16 kg / m².
Possible areas of application could be maintenance and parking areas for road and rail vehicles, storage and intermediate storage for machines, protecting hydraulic machines, storage and transport securing of hydrocarbon-filled drums, containers and packages, filling stations or loading areas.
