VIBRATION INSULATION FOR PIANOS

Pianos, grand pianos or electric keyboards can be decoupled from surfaces using elastic structures.

To reduce structure-borne noise transmission from pianos in residential buildings, pianos are placed on Cipremont® piano coasters designed to interrupt the sound transmission path from the piano body to the floor/apartment slab. This helps to ensure that neighbours in the surrounding area are not disturbed so much and also protects the flooring.

The structure-borne sound insulation provided by this measure essentially depends on the suspension properties of the elastic coasters.

Calenberg offers three variants of elastic coasters:
  • Lamella foot - standard version for pianos without castors
  • Lamella plate - standard version for pianos with castors
  • Top plate - premium version for uprights and grand pianos with castors
