CONVEYING CAPACITY OF 450 T/H WITH 134 LORRIES

THE PROJECT AND ITS REQUIREMENT

The cableway is used to transport limestone and was modernised in line with personal safety standards as part of renovation measures. It runs close along the edge of the village. Local residents were disturbed by the noise of the transport trolleys as they passed the pulleys. In addition, the mast was excited to vibrate and emitted secondary airborne noise.
 
 

THE PRODUCT ADVANTAGES

The flexibility and low weight per unit area of Cisilent enabled effective noise reduction of the cableway without the productivity of the transport being affected by the noise protection measure.

THE SOLUTION

The company ixplus Möbelwerkstatt received the order to install Cisilent Type E on the masts and deflection pulleys in order to reduce the impact on the residents to a tolerable level. The masts already have a sophisticated geometry in their basic form and are additionally equipped with numerous flanges, welded-on components and a climbing ladder. Highly detailed planning was necessary to adapt the individual sections of Cisilent so that assembly by climbers in the mast tops was possible. A complicating factor was that Cisilent had to be easy to remove and reinstall for regular inspection of the masts.
Through intensive cooperation between ixplus and our partner Kaldeweide, the Cisilent sections were manufactured to fit precisely. The assembly went according to plan. The deflection pulleys are shielded in height by noise shields.
