ENCLOSURE OF A FAN

RETENTION OF PROCESSES NECESSARY FOR PRODUCTION

THE PROJECT AND ITS REQUIREMENT

Xtrupak is an Irish family-run company that specialises in the manufacture and sale of extruded thermoplastics for various branches of industry. The company uses sustainable raw materials, including plastics retrieved from the ocean.
A fan located next to the exterior façade of the production hall causes a high level of noise pollution for workers and neighbours. In order to reduce the noise, a noise insulation system from another manufacturer was used which, however, could not meet the noise insulation requirements. Our partner SDG Construction Technology was requested to find a suitable noise reduction solution. Cisilent, which is designed for flexibility, offered a made-to-measure solution for the enclosure of the fan. One of the tasks was to design Cisilent as a sliding element with openings and to mount it on the existing steel structure around the fan.

THE SOLUTION

Our partner took care of the measurement of the existing support structure. On this basis we produced general views of the support structure and suggested unit sizes for Cisilent Type E and its fastening. The opening was to be closed by Cisilent, which would be guided on a rail system. Cisilent was manufactured on the basis of these requirements. The assembly went without a hitch and the required noise reduction was achieved to the satisfaction of the neighbours and Xtrupak.

Thanks to the flexible Cisilent, the desired reduction in the operating noises of the necessary production processes was achieved. The successful cooperation made a smooth execution possible.
