ENCLOSURE OF A NEW COOLING SYSTEM

LAKELAND DAIRIES: IRELAND‘S LARGEST DAIRY CO-OPERATIVE

THE PROJECT AND ITS REQUIREMENT

Using Cisilent Type E, our Irish partner SDG Construction Technology effectively reduced noise pollution with a new cooling system at the site of Lakeland Dairies, a large dairy processing co-operative in Northern Ireland.
As the cooling system requires regular maintenance, space-saving access to the units was provided without compromising the airborne sound insulation. With the help of other project participants and an acoustic investigation, it was possible to place Cisilent with dimensional accuracy under the cramped spatial conditions. In cooperation with WD Engineers, a steel frame was designed around the cooling system. The partially movable Cisilent system was then mounted on the steel beams.

THE SOLUTION

The enclosure of the cooling system with partially movable Cisilent Type E works as intended and allows easy access to the plant for maintenance. Cisilent‘s unique textile structure made of high-strength polyester fabric ensures resistance to water, ozone, UV radiation and microorganisms and protects against contamination.
