‘STEINEREI’ RESIDENTIAL CONSTRUCTION PROJECT

THE PROJECT AND ITS REQUIREMENT

The construction project on Steinerstraße in Munich-Sendling has been going ahead as planned since 2021. The future residential quarter will include flats, shops, atriums, an underground car park and a day child-care centre. The “Steinerei” is located very close to the Munich-Wolfratshausen railway line. The on-site measurements and modelling demonstrate that measures are required on and in the buildings to counteract emissions from secondary airborne noise and vibrations from rail traffic. It also recognises the aspect of economic benefit.

THE SOLUTION

The optimum solution features vibration protection in a limited area near the railway line where it is necessary.
The Calenberg products Cibatur and Cisador 10 are used for both the base and wall bearings to implement the solution.
A combination of Citrigon and Cibatur is used as point and strip bearings for the vertical basement wall to provide the best possible vibration protection.
