WELFENGARTEN MUNICH

NEW RESIDENTIAL QUARTER WITH SUSTAINFM CERTIFICATION

THE PROJECT AND ITS REQUIREMENT

The laying of the foundation stone of the Welfengarten took place in Munich on 23 May 2017. The former Paulaner brewery grounds will be used for 18900m² of privately financed and publicly funded rental apartments.
Small shops and restaurants, as well as a daycare centre, enrich the amenities offered by the new residential area.
Welfengarten is one of the first residential projects to be certified according to the recognised SustainFM sustainability standard.

The requirement was to develop an economical elastic support of the building complex and protection of the building against vibration and secondary airborne noise immissions from the rail traffic that may enter the building.

THE SOLUTION

The main railway line München-Rosenheim is situated directly next to the building. Measurements on site led to the result that the buildings facing the railway line would need to be protected against vibrations. An elastic support under the base plate with the Cibatur mat solved this problem effectively.
Calenberg have developed a high effective and at the same time economical measure using the bearing types Civerso and Cibatur.

The advantages:

  • Economical elastic support of the building
  • Increased value of the building because of better living comfort for its residents
