OFFICE AND COMMERCIAL BUILDING WITH UNDERGROUND CAR PARK

THE PROJECT AND ITS REQUIREMENTS

An office and commercial building has been under construction on the site at the corner of Bayerstraße and Schillerstraße since the 4th quarter of 2022. The U1/U2 underground line runs parallel to Schillerstraße beneath the building, and the U4/U5 line runs beneath Bayerstraße. The new building has significantly deeper foundations, bringing it significantly closer to the underground tunnels. Several tram lines also run along Bayerstraße. Based on the forecasts and assessments which were derived from on-site measurements and structural dynamics modelling, an elastic support system was designed for the building to protect it against vibration and structure-borne noise, as well as other emissions.

THE SOLUTION

The Calenberg products from the Cisador series and Cimax are supported over their entire surface beneath the foundation slab. Products from the Calenberg Cisador series are used on the basement walls, as well as Ciflex R25 for covering partial areas.
