GÜNZ-DONAUPARK RESIDENTIAL QUARTER

THE PROJECT AND ITS REQUIREMENT

A new residential district is to be built in Günzburg by 2026: Günz-Donaupark. The construction project comprises six construction phases in total and will create modern and sustainable residential areas on a site covering 4.3 hectares. The first phase of construction focusses on two building plots just to the north of the train tracks. Measurements taken on site determined that the vibration and structure-borne noise emissions from the rail traffic exceeded the legal limits, meaning that a protective measure was required for the buildings. A resilient support system using Calenberg products was selected for this purpose.

THE SOLUTION

This resilient support system was dimensioned as follows: under the foundation slab, 6 types from the Calenberg Cisador series were placed flat based on load distribution. Cisador was also used on the walls of the basement. The limit values were complied with, and all of the requirements for elastic decoupling were fulfilled.
