NEW CONSTRUCTION OF A SEVEN-GROUP CHILDCARE CENTRE

PROTECTION AGAINST VIBRATIONS AND SECONDARY AIRBORNE NOISE

THE PROJECT AND ITS REQUIREMENTS

In early 2024, a two-storey childcare centre with a capacity of 123 places and an additional 12 emergency places will be built on Mühlanger in Mering, constructed as a monolithic solid-structure building. This childcare centre is located very close to the busy four-track railway line between Augsburg and Munich. The rail traffic causes excessive vibrations and structure-borne noise pollution, and therefore requires protective measures for the building. Elastic building support is a suitable solution here.

THE SOLUTION

This elastic bearing system was dimensioned using Calenberg elastomer bearings as follows: Cibatur was installed across the entire surface beneath the floor slab.
The side wall beneath the ground surface was decoupled using Cisador. This effective measure ensured that the stringent requirements for vibration and noise protection were met.
