BAM TECHNICAL CENTER
VIBRATION-ISOLATED INSTALLATION OF MACHINES AND EQUIPMENT
THE PROJECT AND ITS REQUIREMENT
The Federal Institute for Materials Research and Testing (BAM) is a scientific and technical higher federal authority whose field of activity extends from testing and research to advice on the protection of man, the environment and material goods. In the course of the construction of a new branch office area in Berlin Adlershof, a technical centre (consisting of 11 large individual components) was installed in the multi-storey building on the 4th floor. To protect the offices against secondary airborne noise, an elastometic bearing for the machines and equipment was required.
THE SOLUTION
To ensure protection against secondary airborne noise, aluminium strip with integrated Cisador were installed under the bases of the equipment and machines. This reduced emissions and ensured a quieter working environment.
