Pilot project Wierden, Netherlands
This pilot project involves analysing various noise protection measures to reduce vibrations on a section of the ProRail network.
The vibrations caused by train crossings were analysed, tested and evaluated. Here, the Calenberg team works hand in hand with our partner Kampa B.V..
After receiving the vibration measurement results, the team analysed the natural frequency of the track system (without protective measures) and the neighbouring building structure. Calculations were then carried out using our products and a suitable solution was selected to ensure that the resonance range was in the lowest possible frequency range. The optimum solution in this case consisted of the profiled USM track bed mat and the Ciprotec under ballast mat in the transition area.
This measure is evaluated by subsequent measurements and the reduction in noise [in dB] is announced.
