Greater demand for goods of different types means more container loads are being transported and transferred to other means of transport to ensure on-time deliveries. Containers can be transported by rail, truck or ship. This can lead to contamination of the subsoil due to fluids discharging in locomotive parking areas, for example. This can be prevented effectively by using the OIL-EX absorption mat. Easy to install, these mats bind any liquids into their absorption layer, particularly oil and diesel, so that the liquids do not penetrate the ground.
 
Water, on the other hand, is not absorbed and can flow away unhindered.
 
An OIL-EX mat can absorb up to ten litres of oil per square metre, thus ensuring maintenance-free protection against damage to the environment.
